Recordings (The result)

Unfortunately, the recordings did not go as planned. Because I wanted both of the targeted areas to be recorded in an outdoor environment, I decided to record my walk from Grove Island to Limerick City Centre, and from my home in Cork to a distant field. Doing this I found some indiscretions.

Captured in the recordings of my city walk were undoubtable naturistic sounds; The crunching of leaves, the rustle of trees and the flow of the water from the river Shannon.
Similarly on the country walk I couldn't help but notice the sounds of industrialisation; The honking of cars or the running of an engine in the distance.

This made me think about the struggle between urban environments and rural environments.Having transitioned from one to the other for the first time this year, I found it to be a very interesting topic, one which filled the brief exceptionally well. 'To Sense my Space'. i.e. to explore the relationship between nature and city. I decided to explore this futher.
