My Colour to Music Scale

Like Harbisson has done, I decided I would try to create my own personal scale which would depict colour through sound, using my own knowledge of music notation and with my contextual research.

I decided to begin with a chromatic scale, starting on C. Because C major sounds happy and positive, I wanted to associate this chord with bright colours. On the other end of the scale, I wanted to portray B minor in dark, dull colours as it is a very dreary sounding chord. Therefore I began to experiment with the scale, until I found a satisfactory match.

Begining on a happy note, and ending on a sad note, I concluded with a colour scale from white to black in relation to the rising scale.

My colour Scale:
Black:   C
         Navy:   C sharp
Purple:  D
Violet: E flat
Blue:   E
Green:  F
     Yellow:  F sharp
Orange:  G
Red:  G sharp
Pink:  A
Light Pink:  B flat
White:  B
